Associated Builders and Contractors

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a non-profit trade association dedicated to the Merit Shop philosophy. A Merit Shop contractor is one who bids and wins work based on proven performance and price; who hires and rewards an employee based on his ability and desire to perform; who works with other contractors to deliver the quality product the owner wants within budget and on schedule.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)

LEED is an internationally-recognized green building certification system. Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in March 2000, LEED provides building owners and operators with a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. LEED promotes sustainable building and development practices through a suite of rating systems that recognize projects that implement strategies for better environmental and health performance
